Position: Area Sales Manager
Location: Kolkata
Educational Qualification: B.Tech (Agri Engg.) /B.Sc (Agriculture/ Horticulture) / Any Graduate preferably with MBA/PGDBM
Job Responsibilities:
Main responsibility is to drive sales results in Assigned area
Develop strong dealer network across assigned Area.
Develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet organizational goals; analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
Preparation of monthly/ yearly sales projections, targets based on market scenario and scope, dealers strength etc.; build good relationships with potential and existing Buyers, dealers.
Responsible for achievement of AOP & Market Share.
Responsible for implementation of Micro Planning which includes – channel development, marketing activities e.g. Farmer meetings exposure visits, product campaigns etc.
Competitor Business analysis & model in the said territory
Liaison with Govt. & bank officials.
Continuously improve sales performance through defining and refining best practices. Lead by example by affecting direct sales!
Be available to travel frequently to territories to support Dealers/ Fabricators /field work.
Coordinate with Head office to ensure for smooth execution of sales , required materials and information to promote the company’s products and services are available
Essential Qualifications:
Passion to work as an owner of the company and having a hungry, entrepreneurial mindset. Willingness to work across state.
This position is for professionals who truly love being in sales function and intend to build a long-term career prospect in this function.
Should have experience in Channel/ direct sales of below products to opinion makers or have experience in affecting the product/services sales by influencing the opinion makers in their respective rural territories
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in sales/marketing of micro irrigation and other irrigation equipment’s, shade net / insect net, Plastic film for GH/ Mulch, Seeds, Pesticides/ Insecticides other agriculture/ Aquaculture inputs and must have an in-depth exposure to rural markets
Compensation:
Compensation will be above market trend for right candidate. Attractive incentives may be offered for achieving sales targets.
